RESMAN’s installed tracer systems and proprietary (patented) interpretation methodologies provide zonal contribution info for extended periods of time and in many cases provides quantitative zonal inflow contribution. When the latter is relevant it compares favourably to PLT data and multi-phase flow meter data, in terms of accessibility and risk (no well-bore tool entry issue). .
The zonal contribution data – either quantitative or qualitative – integrates well with other standard well and reservoir data and can be included as history matching constraints, to improve reservoir models and understanding that add or prove reserves, compare completion designs etc. Applied in appraisal wells installed tracers could complement and improve drill stem test (DST) data and aid in proving reserves.
